Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether the WS-X5410 module can be configured in non-etherchannel mode.

Thanks

Since there has been no response to your post, it appears to be either too complex or too rare an issue for other forum members to assist you. If you don't get a suitable response to your post, you may wish to review our resources at the online Technical Assistance Center (http://www.cisco.com/tac) or speak with a TAC engineer. You can open a TAC case online at http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

Yes, there is no restriction to channeling on the 5410 blade. I have one supporting single hosts and links. Note: be aware that the 5500 has limited backplane bw and is hard pressed to deal with Gb flows. If you have data going into one 5410 port and out another so that it doesn't touch the backplane, that will work -- it is an impressive blade in that regard. If you expect to have 9 active Gb ports crossing the backplane, you'll need a more powerful switch (e.g, 6500).
