Hi,
Is WS-X6148-GE-TX (10/100/1000 48-port RJ 45) compatible with Cat 6500 Sup Engine 1?
Thanks,

sorry i can't find anything in the link that says Sup Engine 1 is the same as Sup Engine 1A.
The docs i've seen says that 10/100/1000 can be operated on sup Engine 1A, 2, and 720. It doesn't explicitly says about compatibility with Sup Engine 1. That's where i get confused. I know that Sup Engine 1 is different product than Sup Engine 1A.
Can anybody from Cisco shed some light?
Thanks,
Jonathan

um ... from my understand
6500 series doesn't has "sup 1" it has "sup 1a". (6500 is lastest of 6000)
6000 series has "sup 1" and it end-of-sale already.
end of sale

to ensure which module are you using is to 'sh module' at the switch, then you will get the correct part number from there
for other problem, I think, you better ask CISCO vendor near you (if they cannot answer you, they will forward your question directly to CISCO engineer), it's better than waiting for the answer here.

Here's what i got from show version:
WS-C6509 Software, Version NmpSW: 6.3(3)

WS-X6K-SUP1-2GE >> Sup Model
Is it Sup Engine 1 or Sup Engine 1A?
Thanks.

WS-X6K-SUP1-2GE is a Sup1
A sup1a would have a model number like:
WS-X6K-SUP1A-MSFC
WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE
To answer the original question, the WS-X6148-GE-TX is supported in 7.6(1), regardless of supervisor type.
You can check hardware/software compatibility in the release notes which are at
