CAT 6509 problem when I configure SRM

Problem Description: one channel of 2 port etherchannel shows connected at one end of a link only. checked both GBICs and Fibre. All seem OK. This error occured after attempting to install Redundant MSFC2. The following procedure was followed

1) Inserted second supervisor module

2) in switch config mode entered "set sytem high availibility enable"

3) session 15 to supervisor

entered commands

redundancy

High Availibilty

single router mode

exit from session 15

4) session 16

entered redundancy

high availibility

single router mode

recieved message that configiuration in module 15 had not been saved

exit from session 16

5) session 15

entered "wr m"

exit from session 15

6) session 16

reload

AT this point we noticed that the 6509 containing the newly inserted redundant supervisor showed port 1/1 (port 1 of the etherchannel) "not connected"

corresponding link on other 6509 showed connected.

diabled and enabled port 1/1 on the 6509 with the link down. This caused erratic performance on the link, and th eport still showed down.

We physically removed the fiber and performance returned to normal.

We then removed the newly inserted failover supervisor, but the problem remains the same.

Attached is a log file of sh tech commands from both 6509's plus thier assosciated session 15 rouyting module.
