Cat2900 Throttles, designated port value and automatic outlogging from VSM

Hello, three questions:

1. What does show interface -output counter value: *throttles* mean?

2. show spann gives ...(port *13*)... designated port is *13* ... What's the number for?

3. If I login with browser to 2950, does that session time out, like CLI exec-timeout?

Thanks!

Re: Cat2900 Throttles, designated port value and automatic outlo

Hi,

1. Throttles: "Number of times the receiver on the port was disabled, possibly because of buffer or processor overload. "

2. The number is interface index number of the designated port. It should be either the index of the port itself (if the port is forwarding) or the index of the line other side port (in the port is blocking).

3. I'm not sure if I remember it correctly but I've got a feeling that I read somewhere the browser inactivity timeout was 2 hours (try to leave it overnight and we'll see).

Regards,

Milan
