Does any one the command to configure the ip address for the mini-gibics?
I used to use the command, interface gi1/0/25, ip address #####, but now it does not take it.

Hello,
You need to specify it as not being a switch port.
interface g 1/0/25
no switchport
ip address x.x.x.x
