Cat500/RSFC and Token-Ring Routing

Hi All,

I once configured a Cat5505 with a SupII and RSM for inter vlan routing using token-ring. This worked well.

However, I now have a Cat5505 with a SupIII and RSFC. Are the config details the same? Certain commands don't seem to work, such as:

int vlan100 type trbrf

multiring all

Anyone got any ideas? All the config tips at Cisco seem to cover only the RSM and not the RSFC....

The RSFC does not support token ring VLANs. This means that you will either need to install a RSM to get the token ring vlan functionality or you will need to use an external router with both token ring and ethernet connections to route between the token ring and vlan. The RSM is the only route switch module which will support token ring vlans.
