Hi

can someone please clarify a question i have relating to performance of the legacy WS-65xx modules, the WS-68xx and the new WS-67xx modules.

1. The WS-65xx modules apparently have an 8Gbps connection to the SFM2 and the WS-68xx dual 8Gbps to the SFM2. Is this 4 Gigabit Full duplex or 8 x Gigabit full duplex each ?

2. The WS-67xx modules apparently support 20Gbps per slot, is this 2 x 10Gbps full duplex channels (ie 40Gbps) or 2 x 5Gbps channels (20Gbps).

thanks in advance

PG

Cisco's bandwidth numbers tend to be full-duplex unless stated otherwise. The 8Gbps channel (or channels in some cases) that older modules have to the backplane is indeed full-duplex.

The modules released in conjunction with the Sup720 support dual 20Gpbs full-duplex channels for a total of 40Gbps in each direction (i.e. 80Gbps full-duplex).
