Hi,I need a clarification for my customer on following statement from CCO:

The Supervisor engine, the routing engine, and the forwarding engine

models must be the same on both modules for redundancy to be supported.

Is this true for all cases?

Does this mean that to support routing I need a MSFC on each of the 2 Sup's for 'normal'- and for high availibilty redundancy? Regards Guenther

The Supervisors in slot 1 and 2 MUST be identical. Meaning if you have an MSFC in slot1 you should have similar MSFC in slot2 as well. If you do not have an MSFC in slot 1, you cannot have an MSFC in slot1.

Also, the MSFC in slot 2 must be configured for redundancy(you cannot leave it unconfigured)
