Cat6509 Hybrid Code-Disabling Spanning-tree on a single FE Port

Is there anyway to disable Spanning-Tree on a single port within a VLAN ? Spanning-Tree cannot be disabled for entire vlan.

The command "PortFast BPDU Filter" will filter the sending of BPDUs but it looks like it will disable the port if it recieves BPDUs. Any suggestions ?

Re: Cat6509 Hybrid Code-Disabling Spanning-tree on a single FE P

A spanning tree must be consistent throughout the layer 2 topology, that's why you cannot just disable it somewhere. If you did, the probability of running into problems would be very likely.

Portfast is what you're looking for. However, portfast still verifies the consitency of the spanning tree.
