Catalyst 2948G: boot error

Does the following indicate a hardware problem? Can it be fixed? Please advise. Thanks.

This is the output when the switch is powered on and enters the "loading diagnostics" phase.

Re: Catalyst 2948G: boot error

This is definitely a hardware problem. Appearently, your only hope is that it's a temperature related problem.

Therefore you could try to take the module out and remove the dirt from the last years. It might give your switch some more air and reseating the connectors isn't that bad either. If it doesn't help, please keep in mind that eventually we all pass away! ;-)

Regards,

Leo
