Catalyst 2950 Issue

Some ports on my Catalyst 2950 switch are intermittently not responding. During which IP connectivity is lost between the switch and the Server connected to it but physical connectivity is not lost (LED is still green). However if you keep a continuous ping going to the server this issue does not seem to occur. There are only servers connected to this switch and its uplink is to a CheckPoint Firewall running NG.

Do a sho log and see if the switch is seeing anything happening on those lines. Logging buffered must be set in config.
