Catalyst 3548 question

Do I have to use the GB port connection to my router interface or can I use one of the 48 10/100 ports? Would this create any problems? Not sure the money will allow upgrading the router ports at the same time but don't want to buy into older tech...

Re: Catalyst 3548 question

There are no issues I am aware of if you want to connect your router a access port. We do this with no problems

Re: Catalyst 3548 question

I've done it, no problem. Aside from the fact that the uplink ports are GigE, I'm not sure if it's considered "optimal" to not use the uplink ports as a rule though.
