Catalyst 3550 - General Question regarding access levels

Greetings,

Hopefully this is the correct place to post this question, if not could someone please direct me to the proper page.

I'm looking to restrict access on what users can do on the switch. Basically so only I can change things, but others can see how I have it setup.

I'm trying to configure the switch to force users to do the following. When they telnet to the switch, they will provide the Virtual Terminal password. Once logged in I only want them to have access to the login command, and logout command. Then once they login with their username, I would like to limit the commands they have access to furthur. How would I go about doing this?

I've read the "Setting the Privilege Level for a Command" in the Software Configureation Guide, however I guess I'm messing up the syntax, and would appreciate an example, or maybe I'm using the wrong command alltogether? I understand you can limit the command to only be run by certain access levels 1-15, but don't understand how to impliment it.

Thanks,

Nick

Seems I need to read the manual more closer next time. I've figured it out.

Thank,
