Catalyst 4003 error message 'if index checksum failed'

The command 'SH VER' on one of our Catalyst 4003 switches gives the expected details and also displays the line:

'IF INDEX CHECKSUM FAILED'

I am becoming increasingly frustrated in trying to find that particular text string on the documentation CDs or on the Cisco web site - can anyone please help?

Hi,

This message is related to bug CSCdx87646. I suggest backing up the config in bootflash (copy config flash) and an external tftp server ... and upgrade to a version with the fix - 6.4(5).
