Catalyst 4500: bad inline power and other problem related to inline power

Hello,

I've a catalyst4500 with some IP Phones attached and I got some errors like the following:

Jul 14 08:26:49: %ILPOWER-5-ILPOWER_POWER_DENY: Interface Fa5/15: inline power denied

Jul 14 08:26:50: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-POWERSUPPLYOUTPUTINCREASED: Power supply 2 output has increased

Jul 14 08:26:50: %C4K_CHASSIS-4-INLINEPOWERRESTORED: Resuming normal phone operation since inline power has been restored

Jul 14 08:26:55: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-INLINEPOWEROK: Inline power within limits: Module status changed to 'Ok'

but from the show power I can see:

so the 2 Power Supply are ok, but one is considered "bad". Why? Do you have any ideas?

Second strange thing is that with only PS1 some phones don't receive inline power and this is not correct because the power consumption is less than the maximum provided of the only PS1. Any ideas?

The second PS seems to be failure, you better claim the RMA or ask the vendor to replace it.

If you have only one PS, the total supported IP phone w/ inline power will be decreased due to lower power of power supply provided.

Try to use below tool from Cisco to calculate the required power / PS.

it looks was hitting several bugs. You can, re-seat the power supply and check the status of the light. if is green is a cosmetic issue. Below you can see information about the bugs might hit the switch. If issue persist a replacement is needed.
