Catalyst 4507R Supervisor 4 Redundancy

Redundancy on a Catalyst 4507R with two supervisor 4 cards. If I configure the primary supervisor card in slot 1 and at the cLI perform a copy-run-start to save the configuration. Does the configurationget saved on the secondary supervisor card automaticaly or do I have to configure the secondary card as well? What is the cutover time from primary to secondary in case of failure of the primary card?

Re: Catalyst 4507R Supervisor 4 Redundancy

Route Processor Redundancy (RPR) feature provides 1+1 Supervisor redundancy for the Catalyst 4500 Series. If two Supervisor IVs are installed in a 4507R chassis, one of the Supervisors takes control of the chassis and linecards, and becomes the "Active" Supervisor. The second Supervisor becomes the "Standby". The Standby monitors the Active, and if the Standby detects that the Active has failed, the Standby takes control of the system. This failover will take less than 60 seconds depending upon the switch configuration.

Any configuration changes made on the Active Supervisor are synchronized with the Standby when the current "running config" is synchronized with NVRAM using the copy running-config startup-config CLI command.
