Catalyst 5505 has L3 ACL functionality??

Hi

I have a requirement where some traffic needs to be filtered from going out thru some ports. With a C2950, I can apply a ACL to the in interface to block this. Is this possible with the C5505?? What other modules is required to achieve this??

Thanks

You can achieve this if you have a Route Switch Module (RSM)

which is simply like a router installed in your Cat5505 as a separate module.

I am specifically trying to block broadcast on port 8020 since when the router receives it, it must process the packet and thus cpu shoots up.

With the RSM, wouldn't I be transfering the load to the RSM instead?

There is a trunk link on my 5505 to my 3620 router carrying 4 vlans and this link is the one I am trying to filter.
