Hello!

Could somebody explain me how is the filesystem for Catalyst 5xxx organized and what commands should I use for navigating?

There is a big difference in CLI between sup engine II and sup engine III. And I can not use commands like "dir" for sup II. How can I see the exact name of ios image in flash for sup II for example in order to upload it to tftp server?

Why are there so many files in ouput of command show flash:

Console> (enable) sh flash

On the Supervisor Engine II G and III G, a limited Flash file system is implemented in software release 5.2 and later. Up to two configuration files, cfg1 and cfg2, can be stored in Flash memory. Each configuration file can be up to 256 KB. When you give show flash , it lists the configuration files stored in Flash. The following document is the best for you.
