Few thing you can try

1. remove the bootvariable and put it back, please make sure you don't type any extra space or anything. Please make sure you use the command

boot system flash bootflash:c6msfc2-dsv-mz.121-8a.E5

to setup the boot variable

2. see if the image is not corrutped, try to do the fresh download.

During all this process, please console into the switch and type " switch console" on the enable ,mode on the switch to switch the console to the MSFC and see if you are getting any error while booting up with the system image..

Also if none of the above things work, please change the config variable to 0x0 and bring the msfc to the ROMMON, by reloading and and then boot the msfc from the rommon with the system image

boot bootflash:c6msfc2-dsv-mz.121-8a.E5

and if that doesn;t work, then boot up the with the boot imaga again from the ROMMON and format the bootflash and load the new image.

Hope this helps
