Catalyst 6506/Cisco 7206 VXR Ethernet Error Problem

We have a 2 Cisco 7206 VXR routers and 2 Catalyst 6506 with MSFC/PFC. Each Cisco 7206VXR is connected to a Catalyst 6506 L3 via a 100 Base-T connection. Both configurations are identical and are having the same problem.

Both the 7206 VXR FE interface and the Catalyst 6506 FE interface (6248 blade) are manually set to full duplex, 100Mbps. We're getting input errors on the Catalyst 6506 interface ONLY (see below) and can't figure out what the problem is. No errors are being reported on the 7206VXR. Performance seems fine...we have not seen any latency or timeouts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Catalyst 6506/Cisco 7206 VXR Ethernet Error Problem

Okay, so upon analyzing this closer I see that the input errors are giants. So, the question becomes:

Why is the 7206 sending giants to the 6506? Both have their MTU's set to 1500. Should I mess with the MTU sizes to attempt correct this?
