Catalyst 6513 CatOS to IOS migration

Please, help.

We have Catalyst 6513 with Sup2 MSFC2 with CatOS v. 7.4.2, but it doesn't see the WS-X6816-GBIC. To resolve the problem we tried to migrate to IOS, but all images are large then 16 MB and tftp crash. We don't have PCMCIA - what can we do to resolve the problem?

Guerman.

Doesn't your Supervisor have 32MB bootflash? If not, you can upgrade bootflash to 32MB by ordering bootrom upgrade kits

Then you are all set to upgrade. Download the native IOS file to the supervisor bootflash and follow the steps in the following document

Also the MSFC2 bootflash can be upgraded with WS-X6K-MSFC2-KIT= This is a free upgrade. Contact your account team to get the upgrade kit

Re: Catalyst 6513 CatOS to IOS migration

Try a different TFTP server

http://tftpd32.jounin.net/

If this fails too, try FTP or RCP
