we have the following scenario: two Cat4K supIII in a redundant fashion on a Server Farm. We have one server with 3 NIC connected to switch A and another server with 3 NIC connected to switch B.
These two servers use compaq NIC Teaming SLB and form a MS cluster (active/passive). Moreover they have a 4th NIC for a back-to-back connection
To avoid MAC flapping between port on the switch, I've setup a FEC between 3 switchports and the NIC, and everything seems fine...no MAC Address flapping messages each 15 seconds, as happened before implementing FEC...but the users problems are still present: they connect to the server, work for a brief time and then the server disconnect them. They riconnect, work and the server disconnect them
Does anyone has already experienced symptoms like this ??? or any tips to the configuration on server side / switch side ???
