CCNA questions

I have a couple of questions with regards to the CCNA 640-607 exam

A common type of eSim question is

1) Why can’t host C ping Router A

2) Why cant Host D telnet to Router B

Can you tell me what are the main items to check for these tests

in IGRP you have use autonomous system numbers, What are these numbers for and how do you decide what number to use

Thanks for any help

Re: CCNA questions

1. Host C not able to ping Router A.

THis could be due to many reasons. Couild be access-lists on router, Both C and A could be in different vlans, Default gateway issues on Host C, router interface could be down.

2. Why cant Host D telnet to Router B

access-class command restricts telnet, again default gateway issues on the PCs (if they are in different subnets), Also check to see if Host D can ping Router B, router interface could be down.

You can use any number for the IGRP AS number ranging from 1-65535. Now an AS number is similar to a process id which identifies the IGRP process as well as the domain of administration. Two routers using different IGRP AS numbers will need redistribution to communicate with each other (exchange routes). So all IGRP routers in a domain should run the same AS number.
