CD One 4th Ed. Installation on Solaris 2.6

Crious to see if anyone has any thoughts on this problem, especially since the TAC is being of no help...... Long story short I had 2nd Edition and was going to perform the upgrade to 4th edition and had the following error show up.... that is when the TAC indicated that you couldn't jump revisions, etc....... so if anyone has any thoughts it would be appreciated.... from what I have uncovered so far there appears to be an issue within the script, since the first chown issues are because the files are not in the location that it is looking in........ and hence the installation is failing.... I have found the bin files, but haven't been able to locate the lib files or the IPMgk.sh files.....

Thanks ahead of time for your thoughts and ideas....

Re: CD One 4th Ed. Installation on Solaris 2.6

Could be due to CSCdp81495. Do you have the required Solaris patches installed as listed in the Install docs Table 1-3?

From the above log file, seems like you're trying to install the CD-One 4th Ed Patch and not the CD-One itself?. Is this true?

Open "/var/sadm/install/contents" in vi. Delete any lines containing "CSCOpx", "CSCOjre" or "CSCOjre2".

2. Do the same for "/var/sadm/install/t.contents", if present.

3. Delete /opt/CSCOpx, the install directory.

4. Run "pkgrm CSCOjre CSCOjre2".

5. Try "pkginfo" - hopefully CSCOjre and CSCOjre2 are gone.

6. Rerun setup.sh

Re: CD One 4th Ed. Installation on Solaris 2.6

Also make sure that you're following the sectipn 'Performing an Upgrade Installation' at:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_d/4steditn/ins_sola/sol_ins.htm#xtocid9 is this is not a fresh install but rather, an upgrade from a previous version.
