I want to clarify your statement about support of per-packet load balancing on the MSFC. yes, that is true but since all the packets in PFC2 and all but first packet of a new flow in PFC1 is switched in hardware, it is not possible to CEF per packet load balancing. you can do only for packets being CEF switched through MSFC which is typically is very much lower than hardware switched packets. Per-packet load-balancing may create problems due to out-order packets and so we support per-flow load balancing on the cat6k
