CEF question

The following is the output of a show ip cef command. In looking at packet and byte counters it would seem like cef isn't being utilized. There is an ip cef command in the startup config and traffic is being passed through the router. Any help will be appreciated.

Cisco-GP#show ip cef 192.168.32.0

192.168.32.0/24, version 267, epoch 0, per-destination sharing

0 packets, 0 bytes

via 192.168.3.1, Ethernet0, 0 dependencies

traffic share 1

next hop 192.168.3.1, Ethernet0

valid adjacency

via 192.168.2.1, Serial0, 0 dependencies

traffic share 1

next hop 192.168.2.1, Serial0

valid adjacency

0 packets, 0 bytes switched through the prefix

tmstats: external 0 packets, 0 bytes

internal 0 packets, 0 bytes

Re: CEF question

You might want to look at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1831/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800ca6ca.html#1000997

These numbers won't be populated unless you turn cef accounting on. show ip cef not-cef-switched should give you a good idea of how much traffic isn't being cef switched without using accounting.
