Channelized E1 working with 19.2k

What conguration are needed on routers to work with channel speed 0f 19.2k , if the service provider ( SP) offers following link speeds?

- 2Mb link from SP end to E1 channelize controller on 7206vxr router .

- 19.2K link from SP end to remote location on 1720 router with Serial link

Is this scenario possible ???

If yes what configuration or setting are required on SP end ?

Please advice

You should just not have to configure any thing special for the channel speeds to work together. The "auto negotiate" function of the routers should take care of that issue.

Re: Channelized E1 working with 19.2k

Could you please Elaborate this.

Here is our experience so far

According to SP they feed the 19.k lease ckt to their PD MUX using subrating (v.110)techniques. Then its goes on the appropriate Time slot and feed to Channelized E1.

The channel does not get established if its 19.2 but works fine with 64k leased line.

According to SP the Central router ( With E1) does not understand this subrate ( 4 bit ) encoding , so its not working.

As per the Cisco web info Subrating is used only on PRI , ISDN dial up on AS servers.

So is there any way we can implement on Lease ckt of 19.2k instead of 64k.

Please advice
