Hi All,

My company uses 6509 and 2948G switches.

I want to know how to use IP or MAC address for finding the node is connected to

which switch.

Now, I use "show cam mac address" to check

the node is connected the switch or not.

So, I need check the switch one by one.

Please advise.

Kenny

I guess you can simplify the way you search, but finding out just by knowing IP or MAC address is not possible. You can use the combination of ' sh cdp neigh ' and the telnet to simplify the job.

They point to some utilities that might be helpful.
