Checksum errors on MLS 6509 Sup1A

Hi All,

I see many checksum errors(Show logging) on MLS 6509 and Sup1A.

Some times required logs are missing due to these checksum error logs.

Can I find from which Ethernet port I am receiving these error frames?

Is there any command to disable these error display in show logging?

Unfortunately, the only way to find the origin of this packet with bad checksum is to sniff the packets, but which vlan to sniff? If you are running hybrid start sniffing the vlan that the sc0 belongs to. If you are running Native it will be a bit trickier but start with vlan 1 if it exists. These packet are easy to spot, the sniffer trace will show you any packet with bad checksum.

Hi All,

can i clear the counters and check for the CRC errors incresding on the interface instead of sniffing and analyzing those logs?

so that i can find the interface which is sening errored frames ?
