Two 2502 routers. Connected with each other by a Andrew token ring MAU 8228 plus. Configured IP on each token ring interface on the routers. Show interfaces tokenring shows that port is up, protocol is up. Router can ping the token ring interface itself, but can not ping with each other. Show controller token shows that there's only one static (itself) in its own ring. Looks like both of the routers running on their own ring. Tried reset button on MAU, not working. Is it a bad MAU? Or I need insert tool for this MAU? Thanks.

Can you hear the relay click if you do a shut/no shut on the tokenring interfaces ?
I'll assume that the ring speeds are identical, and both t/r interfaces are in the same subnet.
Kind of sounds like a bad mau

yes, I can hear it. Yeah, ring speed are identical, interfaces are in the same subnet. I changed ring speed both to 4 and tried both to 16. The same situation. Maybe it's a bad MAU. Thanks a lot.
