Cisco 2600 capabilities with n by T1 connections

I am interested in using multiple T1 connections with my Cisco 2600. I have a couple of questions regarding this issue.

Can I get a Multi-port T1 card for the Cisco 2600 or use multiple T1 cards? Which is better?

Will the Cisco 2600 "bond" the connections so they act as 1 pipe? If so, does this require a firmware or OS update?

Re: Cisco 2600 capabilities with n by T1 connections

Hello,

wether you use the multiport T1 card (the NM-4T I assume) or four separate WIC-1Ts does not affect performance; I can imagine that the multiport card must be cheaper in price though.

You can put the 4 T1 leased lines in a ppp multilink bundle. To configure this, put the following commands on each interface you want to have in the multilink bundle:

ppp multilink

multilink-group 1
