I have a C2621 Router and cant seem to utilize the full 100Mbit bandwidth before the CPU maxes out
I have the internal LAN connected to one interface and the DMZ connected to the other. Transferring a file via HTTP from the DMZ to the LAN gives me around 5MB/s (then CPU maxes) which is low for a 100Mbit connection
The LAN interface is NAT'ed, I disabled the ACL's on both interface to see if that was causing the problem and it was still maxing out. cef is enabled globally.
Checking with 'show processes cpu' whilst the transfer is in place shows that it's the interrupts thats causing the bottleneck and not the processes
Am I simpy expecting too much from this router or is the a configuration problem?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
