Hello!
I'm looking for help with strange problem.
We have buy Cisco 2951 router + MEM-2951-512U4GB bundle and we installed 2x2048 DIMM modules.
show platform command show me:
DIMM0 SPD data :
Size of dimm = 2048 Megabytes
...
DIMM1 SPD data :
Size of dimm = 2048 Megabytes
Ok!
But show version output show only 2GB:
Cisco CISCO2951/K9 (revision 1.1) with 1835264K/261888K bytes of memory.
I'm very confused. Appreciate for any advice!

Thanks for the Logs and based on your PID and model type, it looks like you your additional RAM is a bummer, it can't be integrated
Based on this link: CLICK HERE you can't add anymore RAMs
I have attached a screenshot of the page as well indicating the 2GB max
You better remove that RAM so it can be used to upgrade others :D

Try doing "show process memory" your RAM status is displayed there, the total, used, vice versa

Hello, Isgabrillo ! Thanks for reply !
Here is the "show process memory" output:
Processor Pool Total: 1626007632 Used: 86894012 Free: 1539113620
I/O Pool Total: 268173312 Used: 19411232 Free: 248762080
I think the total amount of memory is: Processor Pool Total + I/O Pool Total = Total Memory (1626007632+268173312=1894180944 approx 2GB) Am i right ?
Also, the "show memory summary" output:
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 1359D7B0 1626007632 86899016 1539108616 468002636 1016861384
I/O 30040000 268173312 19411464 48761848 248677540 246493788

It's weird, your logs, as you have said the RAM has been detected, but on the pool it is not.
Can you verify again and make sure there are no errors on the router?
also, can you check your logs (show logging) for any errors
also, try the following commands, these commands verify hardware status:
#show platform
#show diag
also verify in those commands that the module is okay

Ok, thx! I'll do it later.
But, maybe it's ok...I find some information about router 2951: Maximum memory=2GB

Oh yeah, can you do a #show version and #show inventory, we may need to check the hardware capabilities considering your device may not support additional RAMs xD
Also, do not clip the output

show version:
