Cisco 3560 and IRB

Hello,

we have a 2948G going out. It was a good unit. We use IRB on that thing with BVI interfaces, etc. The problem I am having is that I can't configure a sub-interface, such as gigabitethernet0/1.1 to be on a bridge-group. The error message tells me that the LAN subinterface requires that the interface be already configured for 802.1Q encap. I have issued a "no switchport" on the main interface to get it, and the sub-interface, into routing mode. My problem here is that there is no "encap dot1q 3 native" sub-interface commands for the bridge-groups like there was on the the 2948G.

Any ideas?

I see now that IRB is not supported on the 3560.
