Cisco 3640 in ROMM Mode

I have Cisco 3640 router. I upgraded the ios and when i rebooted the router the routercrashed. I went to the cisco romm modem and changed the

config register to 0*0

and reset the router. Once the router booted again the romm modem i gave the command

xmodem -c c:\programfiles\ciscosystems\ciscotftpserver\c3640-is-mz.122-13a.bin

I got the message All the existing data will be erased and do you wish to continue

It gave Ready to receive file c:programfilesciscosystemsciscotftpserverc3640-is-mz.122-13a.bin

CCCCCCCCCBB0BB0

Time waiting for data- aborting download

If i try using Hyoperterm transfer and receive file using 1k xmodem and ordinary xmodem

also i am getting errors.

Can some one advice me how to proceed for makeing this router back up.

Thanks in Advance

Re: Cisco 3640 in ROMM Mode

Here is the link for "ROMmon Image Download Via Console Port Using Xmodem with Increased Console Speed"

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/701/59.html#rommon

For detailed Xmodem ios upgrade via console, visit

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/130/xmodem_generic.html

Now if that doesn't work, you can use tftpdnld command, visit following url for that

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_mod/cis3700/sw_conf/37_swcf/appendc.htm#xtocid13

OR

As last resort, you can upgrade the flash image by booting the router frrom bootflash image. Here is the procedure for that

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/130/rommon_boot_image.html
