Cisco 4000-M and short circuit

Hi, i just received another 4000-M that I was going to use as a simulated backbone router for a home lab. At present it does not have any modules. Two of the slots are open (they do not have any cover to close them).

Now when I start the router it shorts the circuit. This is when I just connect the cable to the wall plug. I haven't even started the router yet. I think it may be a bad power supply. Appreciate any suggestions on what to do or if I am wrong about the power supply. The power supply is the regular AC 120-240. Thanks

There is a short circuit in your power supply. Replace the power supply with a good one and try again.
