Cisco 4500 Console Port

How do you conect the console port of a 4500 router to a PC and what sofware must be running on the PC?

You can use a flat roll over cabe and use windows hyperterminal

Looked at the info you provided. Used a 29-0881-01 on the router, a flat (black) roll over cable, and a 74-0495-01 on the pc. set hyperterm according to instructions and still can't see anything. Am I missing something or do I have the wrong adapter on one end or the other?
