Cisco 6506 unable to detect modules

Hi,

I have a 6506 with SUP1 MSFC2, running IOS.

Module 1: WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE

Module 2: Removed

Module 3: WS-X6348

Module 4: WS-X6348

Module 5: WS-X6408A-GBIC

Module 6: WS-X6408A-GBIC

However, its not able to detect the switch module.

Could this be a hardware issue?

No, I'm not able to bootup my supervisor with CatOS, so I'm using the one with IOS.

But I did try this:

Router#hw-module module 3 reset

% unable to reset module 3: no card present

Not sure if it is the same.

If it's IOS then the command is:

conf t

power enable  module

end

Router(config)#power enable module 3

% nonexistent FRU

Brought the modules to a reseller.
Put it in their chassis... and it runs...

Router#sh ver

So the problem is either "me", or the chassis backplane.
Gonna bring the Chassis down for a check, just to be sure.

Guess, I'll have to prepare for the worst.

Resolved.

Changed Chassis.
