Cisco 678 multiple public IP's to multiple private IP's
Oops, I first posted my question to the WAN forum, and it looks like this is the correct place. My apologies.
We've got a Cisco 678 serving our DSL connection, and a block of public IP's from the ISP. I'd like to be able to route certain public IP's to certain private IP's, irregardless of port number. Can the 678 do this?
For example, all traffic to:
public IP 184.108.40.206 -> private 192.168.1.10 AND
public IP 220.127.116.11 -> private 192.168.1.13.
The documentation shows routing public IP/port # to private IP/port #, but (1) doesn't exactly say if I can do this for multiple IP's, and (2) doesn't say if I can do it for all ports not just a given port #.
Re: Cisco 678 multiple public IP's to multiple private IP's
Tejal, thanks for the reply. I have read about PAT, but please clarify: PAT is only for *port* address translation, right? Am I correct when I say it won't do IP address translation like I am trying to do?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
