I have a cisco 678 and when I open a port set nat entry add 10.0.0.2 xxxx tcp, my connections (whether gaming or p2p) fail after a few minutes. I have a static ip. I have updated al nic drivers and all firewalls are disabled.
You could probably check if the NAT translation entry is still available. Static entries should never timeout and should remain in the table
