Cisco 678 v2.4.5 not allowing "set filter" command
we just signed up with Qwest DSL service and I am trying to use the Cisco 678, CBOS v2.4.5 to set up IP filtering. I have tried the simple command of "set filter 0 on" to test IP filtering on this device. Whenever I issue this command (through the web interface or command line) the router hangs. The only way to get access to the router after it hangs is to manually reboot the device.
I have read all documentation and tried issuing the "set filter" examples from the book, however these do not work either. Any ideas?
Qwest believes that one cannot issue the set command with CBOS v2.4.5. Is this true? I have found no documentation to support their claim.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
