I have a cisco 7206 w/ 4MB of boot flash. However I deleted the image off the boot flash and put on the 20MB PCMCIA memory card. Now the router will not boot even though I have the boot booldr command in the config. Please, some advice or assistance. It will not boot at all now. Just goes to rommon>.
From your post I assume that you put the "boot image" in the PCMCIA card, and configured "boot bootldr slot0:boot_image. I am not sure if you can load the boot image from the PCMCIA. But I think it should be possible theoritically.
You can also boot the router directly from the rommon>, if you have a valid Cisco IOS image on the PCMCIA card.
rommon> boot slot0:image_name
If all else fails, you may try the Rommon Recovery procedures given in the below page;
