Cisco 803 - Incoming Call

When my 803 Ciso ISDN router has both channels open and active, it does not 'bump' one of the channels when there is an incoming call. In the interface BRI0 section I have changed the isdn voice-priority to always but it still will not 'bump' one of the channels, instead the caller gets an 'engaged tone'. The pots country is GB and IOS 12.1(3)XG.

It should bump one channel when a call occurs by default without configuring voice priority. Check your config against http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_fix/800/800fmod/1203t.htm

try using under BRI0 interface :

isdn voice-priority number1 out always

isdn voice-priority number1 in always

isdn voice-priority number2 out always

isdn voice-priority number2 in always

This will give voice priority over data.
