Hi there,
I have recenlty purchased an 831 and was in the process of setting it up. I was attempting to switch between CRWS and SDM as described at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps5318/prod_installation_guide09186a008017dcc8.html
and it looks like I deleted files on the router.
I cannot access the router from a browser anymore so I am accessing it thru hyper terminal - serial connection. It boots straight to rommon. If it is booting straigt to rommon, does this mean the IOS is gone? The following is displayed at boot:
System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(8r)YN, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
TAC Support: http://www.cisco.com/tac
Copyright (c) 2002 by cisco Systems, Inc.
C800/SOHO series (Board ID: 29-129) platform with 49152 Kbytes of main memory
boot: cannot determine first file name on device "flash:"ú

In rommon I have found that there are no files in flash (dir flash:) As described in some support documents I have download the sdm.zip file from cisco and tried to copy over new sdm files using TFTP. I successly copied sdm.shtml over, but when I try to copy any other files from sdm download I get an error shown below:
IP_ADDRESS:10.10.10.1
IP_SUBNET_MASK:255.255.255.0
DEFAULT_GATEWAY:10.10.10.1
TFTP_SERVER:10.10.10.2
Receiving sdmconfig-83x.cfg from 10.10.10.2
File reception completed.
TFTP flash copy: Invalid file header, copy terminated.
Reason: Wrong target platform OR corrupt file.
If/when I copy these files over successly, is this all that is needed to do to get the router to boot properly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since you have lost the flash , first you have to load the flash the you have to install the Sdm file flash file looks like "c831-k9o3y6-mz.122-8.YN.bin" this , this can be downloaded from cisco site.
