Cisco 857W thermal shutdown?

Hi,

I have a 2 years old cisco 857W which shutdowns itself after a couple hours of being on and used.

When it shutdowns, only the FastEthernet connected leds are lit, all the other leds are off.

The console doesn't show anything.

If I immediately turn it off and on, it reboots but ultimately shutdown again.

The router is really hot (way hotter than any 8xx router I could use), so I think some thermal shutdown process kills it before it melts.

I opened the router case to see if there was a fan, but there is none.

Is it something that happens often on 857 routers?

I have a bunch of 837, 877 and 1841 which are really fine, and had only one 857W (which is now not so fine).

What can I do about this?

Thanks,

RMA it.  Sounds like the router motherboard is failing.
