Is the Cisco C2960G-24TC-L Catalyst Switch a 1GB switch? I am looking at using it in vSphere (ESXi, vCAC, ITBM)
thanks

Yes, the switch has 20 ports of 100/1000/1000 and 4 ports of combo Gigabit SFP.

Depends if the switch can push that much traffic. Catalyst switches have very shallow buffers and were not designed for intense data traffic from servers/VMwares.

I also see the switch is no longer sold.
Which means - no future updates to IOS?
I have used Dell 55xx series before and they seemed to work well in the VM structure.
