Don't know which discussion forum best matches this question, but here's my question: We have an outlying building we want to tie into our main network in another building. I'm looking at the Cisco 2900 LRE series switch and CPE LRE hardware to run Ethernet over existing buried copper.
The problem is that the outlying building is 10K ft away, far beyond the 5K ft limits. Is there a way, perhaps using another pair of Cisco 2900 LRE and CPE LRE devices, to provide a "hop" at the 5K ft location to reach this building? Something like a 2912 LRE at the main building, a CPE LRE and 2912 LRE at the 5K ft spot, and then a CPE LRE at the outlying building.
