Cisco NAM login problem.

I have a catalyst switch with NAM in the 9'th module. Till yesterday I was able login though telnet and web interface.

Recently we upgraded the the version of the cat switch and since then I can not log in either through the telnet or the web interface.

Through web I get a " PAGE CAN NOT BE DISPLAYED " message and if I log in to the switch and then telnet the NAM, I get the login prompt. I enter the login and password but I get a login incorrect message.

Thanks in advance!

I am able to ping it fine.

Is it possible that the passowrds were reset when I copied the configuration on to ftp and back to the switch after the upgrade. But this may not be the case as I also have cisco IDS in module 4 and the previous login and password are working for it.

This is because you have enabled https on the NAM and not http and you're trying to access it via http -> http:/10.0.0.7. Instead you need to access it via https://10.0.0.7:

You can reset the telnet password with "clear module password 9" from

the switch.

Thanks,

I can login via the telent wndow, but still not through the web interface. In fact I cna not even reach the login screen, I get teh message " page can not be displayed" . I enabled the http and https servers from NAM CLI with the following commands.

ip http server enable

ip http secure server enable

Can you guide me further?

Web and CLI users are administered separately and Web root and guest user names are different from the CLI root and guest users. Also, if you enable https it will disbale http automatically. Do a ip http server disable and config clear on the NAM and reboot it. Once it comes back online use rmwebusers on the NAM CLI to reset the web password and then enable the http server only again.

I have pastes the configuration changes as I did them on NAM after doing a clear config and rebooting the system.

But still I am not able to even get to the login screen through the web. I type http:/10.0.0.7 and I get the message " page can not be displayed"

Bingo!!Thanks
