Hi,

We have a Cisco Pix 515 with 100Mbps interface speed and the Ethernet 1 of the Pix firewall is connected to the Gigabit port of Cisco 3750 switch. The ftp site had been setup to ask for user name and password window to popup for authentication purpose. When we gave the user name and password we are getting an error message stating "windows cannot access the folder, Make sure you have typed the file properly and you the permission. Details: The connection to the Server was reset". After i get the message when i refresh the page again the folder is working fine. When i try the ftp site internally it is working without any problem. Any speed setting that needs to be made on the switch on the firewall?

Thanks in Advance

Karthik, which authenication method are you using, Do you have any logging enabled, please check the logging file for reasons. You can use "debug aaa authenication" in the pix. I think this is not the problem of the speed difference. Check whether you have enabled http authenication on the PIX. If so please disable it, I hope it has to work fine then. Enabling http authenication on the PIX can cause problems like this.
