Since I have installed Cisco Works (LMS, RWAN, ...) software, icmp polling is enabled for all discovered devices. Our NMS server tries to ping all interfaces on all devices. Because we have firewalls in between, the firewall denies some of the icmp echo replies and sends a syslog message to our syslog server. The syslog server is currently filling up the disk space because every 2-3 minutes (regular) I get such messages.
Actually, I only want Cisco Works to ping 1 interface per network device (routers, switches, firewalls). Is there any filter that I can use for that?
